Idea Development

1. Write a biography about yourself

 

INTRO	My name is Yang Jiayi, I am 19 years old. I am currently studying in Malaysia for a Bachelor of Creative Media Design degree at Taylor’s University.
PARAGRAPH 1	I am from China. My hobbies include dancing. The most important hobbies are traveling and seeing the world. Studying here makes me feel that I have made a right choice. I learned a lot in this course that I am very interested in. skills, my goal is to use up my best efforts to complete the homework seriously and achieve good results.
PARAGRAPH 2	I like the major I chose, and the designed finished product will give me a sense of accomplishment. Although I am very distressed on the way to study, and occasionally think about giving up, my passion for completing something will always make me persist. like this feeling.
SUMMARY	Everything has just begun. I am not sure what kind of difficulties I will encounter in the future, but I will welcome him happily, become a better designer, and learn to find a stable job in the future.

2. Write a statement about your work

 

INTRO	I like traveling very much and have seen a lot of scenery, so after the teacher assigned me this assignment, I decided to look for a photo of my travels, but I was always hesitant to choose which photo could express my theme better.
PARAGRAPH 1	When I started to have ideas later, I decided to choose a photo of me in the desert. The theme I wanted to express was to spread Chinese culture and let everyone know more about the Silk Road by seeing the desert. So I started looking for information about silk. road material.
PARAGRAPH 2	I choose my own photos based on the colors in the photos that I like very much. It is my favorite color scheme, so I am more motivated to complete my creation.
SUMMARY	I think this idea is possible, but it depends on the final effect. It also needs an exotic feeling, which is what I like. I chose a photo that is considered a distant view, which makes me feel that the overall effect will give people a The vast feeling, not very crowded, started my creation.

This is the overall effect I want. Although it is not very accurate, my design is to put myself in the middle, with the desert in the distance.

I added the font. The font is from my own design. The name is Desert Rose. The name also comes from a song I like very much. The song is also called Desert Rose. I will add the font Shattered Dry at the end.

 This is my initial photo. I will add the material I like to this photo. As you can see from this photo, the back is indeed relatively empty, so I continue to design.

I added camels in the distance and birds in the sky. I also added auspicious clouds near me and adjusted the transparency of the auspicious clouds through PS adjustments.

I added different birds, and also added a black bird in the distance. In the later stage, I wanted to create the effect of gradually getting smaller and flying farther away.

Next, I started using AE to create animations, during which I encountered many problems.

Process In After Effects1.1

There are many birds in my poster, so when I was making animations, I was thinking about making the wings of the birds move. This was a challenge for me. I used the puppet position control point tool to add key points to the birds themselves. , and then adjust its direction through the path. In the control of the effect, you need to delete redundant points in time, hold down ctrl+alt to make the path smooth, so that the wings are not too stiff. This process is very difficult for me, but it has always been Trying.

After making the birds move, start adjusting their positions. The front and back of their flight are also different. There are themes and sub-bodies, flying from right to left. Add anchor points at the zero second and the last second (eight seconds). When the bird flies, During this period, the displacement will also move downward to show the real flight of the bird.

After finishing all the moving parts, I started working on the font design. I used the text fragmentation feeling, which will cause the font to disintegrate in a certain number of seconds. I think it looks very good.

Reflection

It is still very challenging for me to complete this assignment in AE. Making static objects dynamic is an area that I have never been exposed to. We have also been exposed to AE in previous assignments, but we only made objects move. , and for the final assignment, I wanted the object itself to move, which greatly increased the difficulty of the assignment. I looked for tutorials online and took my time step by step, but the process was painful, but the result was good. I compared it to Satisfied, I did not make the object move as stiffly as a bird, but it flew more naturally. So after completing this assignment, I learned a lot of knowledge and skills. I hope I will continue to work hard in the future to challenge different things. human tasks.
