PRINCIPLES OF CHARACTER DESIGN

Think back on the basics of design principles and apply that into

the creation of a character

It is used to identify a character from one

Colours plays an important role in

determining and separate the basic

characteristics of heroes, villains and

even background characters.

Different colours give impressions of

different emotions and is easily relatable

by the viewers.

A good character exaggerates on the

emphasis and contrasting visual elements

to make the design stand out by using

colours.

HARMONY

All shapes, lines, colour, motifs, patterns

must be put together in a tasteful manner,and how it reflects with the

Week2

Vormator is the ultimate challenge of your creativity: the aim of project is to give each student the chance to show their ability to create a stunning piece with limited means.

In this section, we need to learn how to use the pen tool and use the anchor points, so the teacher gave a lot of shapes to practice, including squares, circles, edges, corners, and arcs, so it is good to practice pens. Tools provide a good foundation for future practice.

We completed our own little monsters with different graphics based on the monsters given by the teacher. I think this is very interesting.

Week3

We use the pen tool, pencil tool, and knife to complete this task and cut the pear.

Week4

Chiaroscuro Exercises

The requirement of our assignment is to add light and dark contrast to the characters, which must be composed of light and dark sides. This also examines the use of the pen tool.

REFLECTION

Experience

In this course, I learned a lot, and learned a lot about different tools in AI, such as pencil tool, pen tool, utility knife, etc., and laid the foundation for these tasks.

Observations

I will watch the videos sent by the teacher every time before completing the homework. The tutorials sent by the teacher will give me a lot of guidance. When I complete the task, it will reduce a lot of problems I encounter. Although we are an online class, the teacher’s I like the teaching style. Even though I came to the school late due to my visa, I can keep up with the pace of the courses.

Findings

I found this course very interesting. Although the homework assigned by the teacher will be challenging for me as a beginner, we will learn real skills and abilities. I will be happy to learn. After I learn this course I would be interested in experience at work.
