Reflections
Experience:This semester, I independently completed a set of fonts of my own. Although this process was difficult, it was very interesting. I also explored and discovered fonts in different things. This semester, my view on typesetting is much stronger than the first semester. I have further understood and mastered how to really use fonts.
Ovservations：I have observed that a perfect font needs to be unified. The details of the letters are very important. When I designed my own font, I paid special attention to many details. The correlation between each letter, the width and height of the strokes, and the adjustment of the spacing between characters are all very important. Applying the designed fonts to products made me realize the importance and fun of typography, and let me understand how to apply typography to my own life. When I create products with my own fonts, I will have a sense of joy.
Findings：I found that typography is not just the arrangement of words, but more like a form of visual art. Throughout the semester, we learned about eight systems, the use of layers and contrast in posters, and even color matching is very important. The principles pursued by typography also include simplicity and consistency, including readability, which are emphasized by the teacher during class. Typography not only affects the visual effect, but also brings us direct information communication effects and user experience. Through the experience of primary and advanced typography, typography is still very interesting.
