Design Research Methodology - Final Compilation
3/7/2024 - 28/7/2024 (Week 11 - Week 14)
This semester was my first time writing a research paper. As an
animation student, I encountered many challenges and
uncertainties in the process. At first, I chose a topic with a
wide range, which made my problem statement vague and unable to
conduct in-depth analysis. When communicating with Dr. Luqman
offline, the teacher kept emphasizing that my problem statement
was not clear enough, which prompted me to realize that the
title of the paper needed to be specific.
With the teacher's constructive criticism and explanation, I
gradually understood how to specify my research question and
re-selected the topic. When I asked the teacher again, he
thought I had made progress, but still needed further revisions.
His feedback helped me improve my work and gradually gave me a
clear understanding of the complex process of paper writing. The
teacher patiently solved my problems every time and explained in
detail, allowing me to gradually master the key points of paper
writing.
In the literature review section, I spent a lot of time looking
for relevant articles, but it was difficult to find the most
suitable research content for me. This undoubtedly increased my
workload. However, in the survey section, I felt a different
kind of fun. Through the questionnaire, I got a lot of valuable
feedback and saw different opinions from different people. This
not only helped me meet the basic number of people required for
the survey, but also exceeded it, which made me confident in the
survey results.
Analyzing the survey results was a very interesting process. In
the process, I found many unexpected results, which made the
whole research process full of challenges and gains. Although
the process was hard and full of difficulties, I did not give up
and worked hard to learn a lot of new knowledge.
Through this experience, I not only improved my academic research ability, but also accumulated valuable experience. I hope to work harder in the next semester, continue to improve my research level, and achieve better results.
