Final Project: Stop Motion

INSTRUCTIONS

LECTURE

Week10

In the tenth week, the teacher divided us into groups of four to five to shoot stop-motion animations, prepare materials and make products, and prepare for the next week's school shooting. My group members and I bought a series of materials such as clay, cardboard, scissors and glue at a nearby DIY store.

Share Stop Motion short


I like this stop-motion animation. It has a strong appeal, and the details of the character processing are in place. The man's chest rises and falls due to breathing, and the topic of ocean garbage is being played on TV. The room gradually produces garbage, and finally floods the entire room. The final shot It goes back to the scenes played on TV to satirize people's ignorance. I think this stop-motion animation has a strong appeal.



This stop-motion animated puppy has a lot of expressions on its face, including fear. Gradually, people begin to care about it, and a smile appears on its face. The puppy is very cute, which will make people care about them and give them a smile. The emotion of their family.


Final Project Proposal: Stop Motion

Proposal


In the 12th week, I bought materials and started making the finished product. I bought stone modeling clay at first, but I found that this clay dried too quickly, which made it difficult to make my rabbit. Later, I spent more time using plasticine to make the protagonist and participants.I used the original camera's 16:9 mode and shot it with a tripod.

Since the head and body often fall off, I used straws to connect some of the places that need to be twisted, which will make them more solid.

I painted the furniture brown and added a varnish to some small corners.

I started to shape the rabbit with plasticine.

Now that I have created the protagonist, I will create two more bullies.I used black as the environment here to create the protagonist's memories of being bullied. It is closed and dark, reflecting the protagonist's psychological fear at the time.

I use the courier packaging to represent my water, which also represents the protagonist's tears.

My story takes place in the bathroom, so my main background is the bathroom wall panel. I still bought similar materials at DIY, and I also painted the toilet and sink.

Feedback

Mr. Martin suggested that I add some scenes about bullying to let the audience know why the protagonist chose to commit suicide.

Reflection

I think this subject is the most interesting. This is the first time I learned how to shoot stop-motion animation. Although the process of completing it was difficult, because I shot it myself, even without using the tripod, the picture would change a little. Due to the instability of clay, I made many arms of the rabbit and colored each arm. But when the finished product came out, I was still quite pleased. I hope I will work harder to learn new knowledge next semester.
