Final Project: Game Audio

Introduction

Final Project: Game Audio

Our final assignment is to complete a game video generated by making sounds by ourselves. We choose a game that we are interested in from the folder of game videos sent by the teacher, and use the sounds in life to record in the recording studio or on the phone to make the sound effects.

Reflection

The sound design course this semester was the one that I was most interested in and gained the most from. As my first opportunity to come into contact with sound design, this course made me deeply realize the importance of sound in creating an atmosphere. During the production process, I consulted many reference materials and gradually realized that the source and presentation of sound in the videos we watch every day often exceeded my imagination. The contact and collision of different objects and the propagation of sound in different media will produce unique sound effects, which gave me a new understanding of the diversity and expressiveness of sound.

Through this course, I learned the basic techniques of foley and put them into practice in the final project of game sound design. I began to pay more attention to the sounds around me, and even when watching movies, I would listen carefully and analyze the sound effects in them, and gradually formed the concept of sound design in my mind.

Although the learning process this semester was relatively hard, I gained a lot of valuable experience. Here, I would like to especially thank Mr. Razif for his patience and positive attitude during the teaching process, his willingness to discuss the problems I encountered with me, and his guidance with a smile. This made me feel very encouraged, and even if sometimes I thought that my homework might not be as good as others, I could find a direction for improvement in communication.

I hope that in the following courses, I can continue to maintain my passion for sound design, and look forward to exploring the charm and possibilities of sound in more projects in the future.
